The mission, vision, values, and operating principles that govern every Swenivis engagement. Read it before you hire us, hold us to it after.
Our Mission
We exist to close the gap between AI demos and AI products that real businesses depend on every day — by combining deterministic engineering rigour with the leverage that modern AI provides.
Our Vision
A 50-engineer firm shipping production AI products for ambitious teams worldwide — measured not by headcount but by how often our work is the part of a client's stack that quietly never breaks.
These are non-negotiable. Each one is testable — you can hold us to it during the engagement.
We ship code we would run in our own production. No demos, no shortcuts, no "good enough for the client." If we wouldn't deploy it to Swenivis Friday One, GEO, or AI Audit, we don't ship it to yours.
AI is a tool, not a religion. We use LLMs where they earn their place — and we keep the critical path deterministic. The auditable, predictable, testable layer always wraps the probabilistic one.
Pricing on the website. Architecture on the website. Mistakes acknowledged early. We don't hide pricing, dodge hard timelines, or rebrand failures as learnings.
Hours logged don't matter. Stories closed don't matter. Production-stable, user-validated outcomes matter. Every engagement is measured against the business result it produced.
We work as your team, not as your supplier. We push back on bad requirements, propose alternatives, and own outcomes — the same way an internal team would.
Boring tech that solves the problem beats clever tech that creates new ones. We design systems that a future engineer (often us, six months later) can understand in 15 minutes.
These show up in retros, hiring conversations, and the way we run sprints. Apply at Swenivis only if these sound like home.
Async by default, sync when stuck
Writing forces clarity. Most decisions get made in well-written async threads. Meetings are scheduled only when async is genuinely blocked.
Demos beat docs
Working software in front of the customer every two weeks. A demo answers questions a status report can't.
Strong opinions, weakly held
Recommend the right call confidently. Update when evidence shifts. Avoid both wishy-washy hedging and stubborn defence of bad ideas.
Default to publication
If a runbook, decision, or finding could help another engagement, we publish it on the dev-docs portal. Knowledge that lives in one head is lost knowledge.
No heroics
Weekend deploys, midnight escalations, single-engineer dependencies are bugs in our process. We design engagements so no one is irreplaceable.
Disagree, then commit
Healthy debate up to the decision; full alignment after. We don't relitigate decided things in side channels.
Customer in the room
Every sprint includes the customer in planning, demos, and retros. They are not the audience for our work — they are participants in it.
R&D budget is the most diluted thing at a startup. These principles tell us where to spend it.
Build it for ourselves first
Every Swenivis product (Friday One, GEO, TalentHub, AI Audit) was built to solve our own problem before we offered it to others. If we wouldn't pay for it, we don't ship it.
Open-source what doesn't differentiate
Utility code, audit checklists, prompt templates — we open-source them. Reserved proprietary code is the layer that creates business value, not boilerplate.
Dogfooding before dollar one
AI Audit runs against swenivis.com itself. Friday One runs our own HR operations. GEO tracks our own brand visibility. We earn the right to recommend something by running it.
Ship the smallest learnable thing
Every R&D project starts with the smallest version that answers the riskiest question. Two-week experiments before two-month investments.
Public roadmaps over private surprises
What we're building next is on the website, dated. If we ship later than promised, we date-shift in public.
These are explicit promises that travel into every engagement contract.
